Local Natives announce the release of their third album Sunlit Youth, out 9 September on Loma Vista Recordings / Infectious Music. Sunlit Youth caps a trilogy of albums for Local Natives, which began with their 2010 breakout Gorilla Manor, followed by 2013’s Hummingbird, which earned worldwide acclaim and opened at #12 on the Billboard 200. Together, the two albums have sold over 300,000 copies worldwide.

Since their monumental 2009 debut Gorilla Manor, Los Angeles 5-piece Local Natives have glided past the vast sea of radio-friendly Pandora-ready indie rock bands and become torchbearers for the genre. Their high-reaching harmonies and lush guitars with hints of melancholy made them perfect candidates for the title, and their incredible live presence has kept them there.

2016 sees their much-anticipated third album finally coming to fruition, and 2013’s critically-acclaimed Hummingbird will be a tough act to follow, but Local Natives have quelled our anxieties with two arena-ready singles bursting with glittering synths and dancefloor-filling beats.
