Matt Palmer found success in co-writing with top-tier producers and major label artists as the first R&B songwriter signed to the internationally-spanning HoriPro Publishing company. Signing with LA’s artist development-focused label, MusicTaste, Palmer made the decision to record an album comprised of his own works, ‘letting go’ of any hesitations he held of becoming a recording artist.

Fortified with the R&B roots grown in his hometown of Atlanta, GA, the 23 year-old songwriter-artist hybrid looked to HoriPro’s international network for production on the album— teaming up with multi-platinum French producer, Pascal “CLAPS” Guyon, (Leona Lewis), and acclaimed producer, Shin Murayama, a staple in the Japanese Top 10 charts. The result was Let Go – a relatable collection of songs containing a wide range of moods, seamlessly held together by Palmer’s signature catchy melodies and well-delivered choruses.
The title track, “Let Go,” is undeniably a Matt Palmer effort, mixing an upbeat dance rhythm with honest, inspirational lyrics. Contrastingly, “Lovesick,” has a strong, contagious beat and attacks the listener with an aggressiveness that is surely not to be ignored by nightclub DJs. “Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover,” the only song on the album that is not written by Palmer, himself, exemplifies his versatility and creativity, providing a fresh R&B spin on a Sophie B. Hawkins’ classic.
