Is Cory Lee Canada's Beyonce? The Vancouver-raised singer's sophomore album, Sinful Innocence, is chock-full of playa-friendly club anthems and soulful ballads dripping with lyrical and melodic hooks. But Lee, whose breakthrough track was the appropriately titled 'Naughty Song', mines a bold sexuality in her music that good girl Beyonce would never dare. Hence the out-to-get-laid vibe of 'Ovaload' and the self-explanatory 'Sex Me Slow'. Thankfully, there's a sense of humour to leaven the potential cheese factor. So on first single 'No Shirt No Shoes' (very reminiscent of the Vanity 6 gem 'Nasty Girl'), Lee bluntly declares "I'm a gold-digger. So what?" Well, okay then. The Beyonc? comparisons reach their peak on 'No Friend', an uptempo lament for a friend turned enemy, where Lee completely sounds like Ms. Knowles. If some tracks are more generic than the rest ('Snakecharmer'), the balance of Sinful Innocence is guilty of being fun, well-produced dancefloor fodder.

在歌唱之余,她也參加了1些電視劇的演出,像頗受青少年歡迎的 Instant Star 飾演Karma一角,在2007年進入第3季,本劇在全球超過120個國家上演,觀眾人數超過4千5百萬～～
