The album is an overall ambient and soulful album driven by Witmer’s careful acoustic guitar workmanship, relaxing and cool voice and ultimately his compelling lyrics. According to Denison Witmer, he prefers to write songs that have a special meaning for him yet are still open to multiple layers of meanings for those who listen to them. Personally, that is my gauge for great songs. It’s when a song, no matter how much you listen to it, reveals a different meaning to you each time you listen to it. When you try to find new meaning to it, that which you can relate to your current or past experiences, you will definitely find it. Each song on the album is powerful enough to touch someone’s soul. The slow and riveting song “Your Friend” will actually make you stop and take a good look at the people around you. There are also songs that have a happy overall mood but still are very relaxing and mesmerizing. Such as “Hold On“, Influence” and “Two and a Glass Rose”.



Overall, the entire album is one that you can truly call a work of art and a masterpiece as it embodies the very nature of art, which is that of providing diversity of meaning and limitless exercise of expression.
