沒想到時隔一年的R?d，Kent馬上又帶了第9張錄音室作品，很多人也會擔心作品的質量是否會受到影響。老實說，從之前所發行的單曲來看，Kent繼續堅持著自己的大轉變方向，深受于電音熏陶，且擺脫過去給人陰冷幽靜的聲音，跳躍式的靈動聲音依舊帶有那一抹獨特的迷幻風味，且多年來樂隊的旋律表現依舊很有質量，相比較R?d來說，這次入耳的歌曲太多太多了。仔細想想，新專輯僅僅過了1年就問世，或許是為了繼承R?d迷糊糊的電音感覺。

En plats i solen (Swedish for "A Place in the Sun") is the ninth studio album by Swedish alternative rock band Kent. It is due for release on 30 June 2010, just eight months after the release of their previous album, R?d, but was released exclusively as digital download on the band's website on June 23.[1] The album is produced by the band with Swedish producer Stefan Boman, who worked with the band on Du & jag d?den from 2005.[2] The lead single, "Gamla Ullevi" / "Skisser f?r sommaren", was released on 14 June 2010, the same day as the band announced the album details.



The album was written and recorded in the early spring of 2010, and was finished on June 8. Some of the songs are leftovers from the recording of R?d. Lead singer Joakim Berg told Svenska Dagbladet that they wanted to record the songs "while they were still fresh".
